PECOS supports the enrollment process for Medicare providers and providers by allowing registered users to electronically and securely submit and manage Medicare enrollment information. Under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, individuals are not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB tracking number. The OMB`s valid control numbers for this collection of information are 0938-1056, 0938-1135 and 0938-0685. Depending on the nature of the applicant`s vendor or supplier and the reason for submitting this information, the time required to complete this information is estimated at 15 minutes to 6 hours per response, including the time required to review instructions, search for existing data resources, collect required data, and complete and review information gathering.
